Bear whose tongue swelled to size of football undergoes life-saving surgery

A BURMESE bear has been saved after its tongue grew so large that it wouldn't fit inside its mouth.

The stricken bear and its brother had been rescued as cubs by monks, who saved them from being illegally sold in China.
