Craig Revel-Horwood thinks there WILL be same-sex couples on Strictly next year… as openly gay contestant Susan Calman is targeted by trolls for dancing with a man on the show

Openly gay Strictly Come Dancing contestant Susan Calman was targeted by trolls after she was not paired up with a female professional dancer.

But judge Craig Revel-Horwood has said he believes same-sex dancing couples will appear on the hit BBC show next year, saying there was ‘no reason why it couldn’t happen’.

Appearing on Monday’s edition of ITV show Lorraine the famously acid-tongued dance guru said of the possibility of same-sex dance pairings,  ‘I hope so, I really hope so. In the world of competition there are same-sex couples that do it as well so there is no reason why that can’t happen.’
