A DEFENCE minister has threatened to quit if plans to cut the Army to below 70,000 troops go ahead, it is claimed.
Ex-soldier Tobias Ellwood, who is in charge of service personnel and veterans, has told colleagues of his “deep discomfort” at the plans which would see numbers cut by 12,000.
