Heart surgery in the afternoon could save hundreds of lives and ‘is less risky’, experts warn

HUNDREDS of lives could be saved if heart operations were performed later in the day, a study suggests.

It found patients were twice as likely to have a heart attack or failure in the months after morning surgery.
