Last month, Sadie received her first bit of fan mail for her breakthrough role while attending Rhode Island Comic Con.

‘I was looking through it today and it was so sweet,’ Sink told Bustle. ‘It’s crazy that [my] work is able to inspire people, which I love.’

Fans feared her character Maxine ‘Madmax’ Mayfield – a arcade-playing tween who moved from California to fictional Hawkins, Indiana – would replace Jane ‘Eleven’ Ives (Millie Bobby Brown).

The psychokinetic sensation virtually ignored the tomboy, even using her powers to make Max fall off her skateboard, but Sadie hopes Eleven will warm eventually warm up to her.
