‘I’m running out of lives!’ Paul O’Grady reveals he contracted a ‘near-fatal’ infection working with dogs on ITV show… as he reflects on mortality after suffering three heart attacks

Treasured TV personality Paul O’Grady has revealed he could have died shooting ITV’s canine series For The Love Of Dogs.

Thanks to handling dogs on the show, the 62-year-old explained that he contracted a ‘near-fatal’ infection while he was in India.

Speaking to The Mirror, the comedian and chat show host recounted how he collapsed on location, and rushed to a hospital in New Delhi, so that he could undergo a procedure that would potentially save his life.
