Treasured TV personality Paul O’Grady has revealed he could have died shooting ITV’s canine series For The Love Of Dogs.

Thanks to handling dogs on the show, the 62-year-old explained that he contracted a ‘near-fatal’ infection while he was in India.

Speaking to The Mirror, the comedian and chat show host recounted how he collapsed on location, and rushed to a hospital in New Delhi, so that he could undergo a procedure that would potentially save his life.
