THE unthinkable sight of a tree burning from the heart out after it was struck by lightning has prompted community to claim a “gateway to Acheron” has opened on Earth.
The snatch caused a social media hysteria after it was posted on Twitter on top of the weekend.

It was taken by Janis Melton, who spotty the rare phenomenon in a park in blue Mississippi on Saturday.
She passed it on to TV weatherman James Spann, who common it online.
And as ever, the internet has if some totally nuts reply as to what might be behind it.

Several were convinced it was a birth of the Eye of Sauron, made famous by J.R Philologist’s Lord of the Rings tome.
It prompted several comparisons to the “Top Down” – a parallel nature featured in popular Netflix broadcast Stranger Things.
Twitter consumer @IsotopeRose made reference to the broadcast, writing: “Upside consume. #StrangerThings.”
Melissa Harper accessorial: “Can’t decide if it’s the upside down or faithfully the gateway to hell.”
After any (highly scientific) debate, the oecumenical consensus fell on the side of Avoid Harper, with Twitter owner Joe Goodberry confirming: “That’s the gateway to hellhole.”
