Selena Gomez confessed that she didn’t fully grasp the seriousness of her lupus when she was diagnosed a few years ago.
Speaking at the Breaking Through Gala benefiting the Lupus Research Alliance on Monday night, the singer, 25, said she was warned by doctors that she had lupus nephritis and that meant she might need a kidney transplant one day.
‘Maybe I wasn’t necessarily really good at knowing what that meant so it actually got to a point where it was life-or-death,’ she boldly told the audience.
