Aston Merrygold is being deliberately marked down by judges during his stint on Strictly Come Dancing, according to former show professional James Jordan.
The former JLS singer, 29, came under fire when he signed up to the ballroom dancing show over the summer, as some fans thought he was at an unfair advantage due to his previous dance training for stage performances with his old boy band.
Speaking to The Sun about the star, James – who quit the show in 2014 – claimed that judges mark down good performances to keep the audience interested, explaining: ‘Aston’s dance was full of brilliant lifts and tricks. But the judges twist scores.
