Women trying to become mothers could soon have a milder, less dangerous form of IVF using a ‘kiss hormone’.

Doctors at Imperial College have discovered a treatment which mimics the body’s own way of ripening eggs.

In a new study, they have established that it lowers women’s risk of life-threatening complications.

Normal IVF can leave women with massively enlarged ovaries, at risk of blood clots and fluid building up in their lungs.
