ABC might not want to hear how Michael Strahan spent his summer vacation.
Executives from the network’s news division, The New York Post’s Page Six reports, are ‘really upset with him’ that he didn’t interrupt a Greek summer vacation to return to Good Morning America amid the network’s coverage of Hurricane Harvey.
‘ABC News asked Strahan to come home from his vacation,’ an insider told the paper. ‘He’s from Houston. But he refused and is still floating around on a yacht in Greece somewhere.’
But Strahan’s rep told the newspaper that executives didn’t ask Strahan to return from his vacation, and that the hometown hero ‘is headed [to Houston] next week and will help in any way that he can’ when he returns to the air on Tuesday.
