Ministers scramble to avoid defeat in Commons over Tory rebels’ bid to keep EU human rights after Brexit

MINISTERS scrambled to head off a dangerous revolt tonight by vowing to protect important rights after we quit the EU.

Rebel Tories have threatened to inflict a damaging defeat on the Government because they want human rights to be written in to the EU Withdrawal Bill.
