Diane Kruger said she was so thoroughly immersed in the grief of her In the Fade character – she lost sleep, seven pounds, and started smoking again.
‘My jeans were loose!’ the German 41-year-old (who smoked in the nineties when she was an Elite Model) confessed at SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations on Monday.
‘I felt like I was drowning the whole time. I felt like I was drowning in grief, drowning in the gray weather, and drowning in the story. I picked up smoking. I couldn’t sleep…It changed my life forever.’
