Bentley has disclosed what it bills as ‘the man’s fastest and most powerful sumptuosity four-seater’, the Bentley Transcontinental Supersports.
With figures affection a top speed of 336km/h (209mph), 0-100km/h in 3.5 twinkling and a mighty redeveloped W12 engine boxing 522kW and a potent 1,017Nm of torsion, the Continental Supersports would micturate most supercars burst out in chill sweat. Not surprising then that it is the virtually powerful Bentley ever, too!
The upgraded W12 mass features new high-performance turbos, a revised effervescent-air cooling system which discover more boost and upgraded cranktrain, including new leading and conrod bearing.
The Supersports again benefits from a new torque convertor which locks up faster, allowing the car to fabricate best use of its enhanced torque.
To check in its immense power, the new Supersports is tailor-made with high-performance copy ceramic brakes with enhanced coolly. The brake discs are said to be the maximal of their type in the world.
The restriction sit behind lightweight 21” bad alloy wheels, together present a 20kg weight saving in unsprung masses. A further 5kg can be trimmed via the optional ti exhaust system. According to Bentley, the Supersports is the lightest-e’er iteration of the current Continental GT and hoy than the 2009 four-chair Supersports. Even then, the car stillness weighs more than 2 tonnes at 2,280kg.
The grandeur cruiser retains the rear-colored torque split of Bentley’s all-shove-drive system, sending 60 pct of the power to the rear wheels as criterion but with the ability to adjust the presence-rear power split depending on useable traction.
Outside, the Supersports earmark new front and rear bumpers which integrated a carbon fibre splitter and a baffle, respectively, new side skirts and cowling vents made out of carbon.
Thither’s also gloss-black movement wing vents and a new gloss-dusky, rifled exhaust tailpipe mannequin, while all lights are dark-tinted to adjust the black-finished brightware to the presence grilles, lights, rear bumper, doorway handles and window surrounds.
The car shown too includes the optional, aerodynamically counterbalanced rear spoiler and front divider.
Inside, the interior is finished in a uncommon tri-tone trim, with a rhomb-quilted design applied to the bench and doors panels in Alcantara, patch chequered Supersports carbon fiber fascia panels join the existent list of ten veneers and technical cease available.
The interior is completed by new Supersports figure stitching and a bespoke Supersports control wheel and unique gearlever, both featuring Alcantara tones.
