BMW has disclosed its new 6 Series Gran Turismo, which is set to interchange the 5 Series GT.
Compared to the old model, the new 6 Broadcast GT is much better proportioned. Its extent has been stretched to 5,091mm patch height has been reduced by 21mm. The car’s gate has also been redesigned and now bes seated 64mm lower than the 5 Series GT.
At the anterior, the car sports a larger front wicket flanked by a pair of standard LED headlights. On the sides, the front fender aperture appear to be borrowed from the 5 Broadcast, while its windows are frameless. At the bet on, the wraparound taillights features iii-dimensional styling elements.
Centre, the cabin is largely carried above from the latest 5 Series. Thither is a freestanding 10.25-inch docudrama screen complete with inflection and gesture control. Behind the back part hatch is 610 litres of case space, which can be expanded to 1,800 liters when the rear seats are electrically accordion down.
Other cabin highlights cover a heads-up display and electrically-adjustable tail end comfort seats.
The 6 Series GT Testament share its range of engines with the 5 Broadcast, ranging from a 2.0-liter turbocharge four-cylinder generating 190kW and 400Nm of torsion in the 630i GT, to the 3.0-litre six-chamber developing 250kW and 450Nm of torsion in the 640i GT.
On the diesel front, the 630d GT is supercharged by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder producing 195kW and 620Nm. All powerplants are compatible with an 8-speed automatic coefficient.
The BMW 6 Series GT will hit showrooms subsequently this year.
