Price of alcohol sold in Parliament’s bars is ‘under review’ after staffer was glassed this week
The bar where the incident took place – the notorious Sports and Social Club – is currently closed indefinitely while an investigation takes place.
Police were called to a courtyard near the venue at 6.30pm on Tuesday and arrested one of the men, aged 57, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and affray, taking him to a central London police station.
Witnesses said a fracas between him and another man broke out inside the dingy bar located in the bowels of Parliament.
It then spilled outside into the alleyway, which is when the 64-year-old man was glassed, according to onlookers.
