Audi’s brisk expanding RS performance line-up faculty soon include the Q2 compact crossover, as speculated by a new composition. Set to launch in 2018, the RS Q2 will be the European brand’s smallest SUV to wear the RS Emblem. It will also be the second voter to bear the performance moniker later the RS Q3.
While technical details change yet to be confirmed, the RS Q2 is expected to share the aforesaid engine as the current Audi RS 3 – a 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbocharged gas engine developing 270kW @ 5,550-6,800rpm, 465Nm @ 1,625-5,550rpm. As typical, Audi’s quattro all-wheel aim hardware will deliver powerfulness to all four corners, working in junction with a seven-speed duple clutch gearbox.
The RS Q2 will equal the Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 and the M version of the approaching BMW X2 with pumped up body effort including beefier front and hind part bumpers, side skirts, tail end diffuser, larger 19-edge wheels and trademark RS twin egg-shaped exhaust tips, as depicted in the supra RS Q2 rendering.
