Ryan Phillippe has been slapped with a lawsuit by a former girlfriend who’s accusing him of beating her up last July 4.
Elsie Hewitt claims the Shooter star was ‘extremely drunk’ and assaulted her when she went to pick up some things from his home, The Blast reported Monday.
The website says the model, 21, is seeking more than $1million in damages from the 43-year-old actor for the assault that left her with chest pain, bruising and abrasions.
However, sources close to Phillippe tell DailyMail.com that it was Hewitt who instigated the incident, showing up to the actor’s home ‘under the influence’ and physically attacking the star.
