Miley Cyrus is a part of MTV Video Music Awards history.

And the 24-year-old singer, who’s playing this year’s VMAs at The Forum in Inglewood Sunday night, gave a nod to her notorious past with the show.

That day, she posted an Instagram photo of herself twerking on Robin Thicke at the 2013 VMAs, ribbing her father Billy Ray Cyrus: ‘Sorry Dad…. I’ll be good tonight I promise … @vmas’.
