Photos of what are believed to be Continent’s most powerful car, the 476kW HSV GTS-R W1 has been caught on camera without a smidge of camouflage.
The two cars – a sedan and a ute – was supposedly caught outside of HSV’s Clayton office, sporting never seen earlier rear bumper, alloy annulus and front quarter panel conduct towards.
While nothing is official, the atrocious limited edition GTS-R W1 could also be linked by a regular GTS-R as final swansong mock-up for the Commodore-based models.
The GTS-R W1 is rumored to be powered by the 6.2-litre emotional LS9 V8 from the previous generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, agitated out the same 470kW/820Nm of torsion, delivering a 0-100km/h sprint in ethical 4.0 seconds.
Production is anticipated to be capped at around 250 item, with pricing rumoured to be in the area of $170,000, making the GTS-R W1 the most high-priced and powerful model ever fabricated in Australia. Meanwhile, the GTS-R will seize the 430kW GTS as the range-topping mould in HSV’s regular lineup.
