Star Wars IX lands working title ‘Black Diamond’ as director JJ Abrams ‘starts structuring script’ for 2019 film… after Last Jedi makes $450M internationally

Star Wars: The Last Jedi just pulled in $450M this weekend internationally but Disney and LucasFilms are already looking to the next installment.

On Monday Fantha Tracks reported Star Wars IX already has a working title: Black Diamond.

The site added that the film’s director, JJ Abrams – who was behind The Force Awakens – has already submitted his pitch to producers so the sequel is now firmly in development.
