TAXPAYERS will have to pay farmers who lose out from EU subsidies for years after Brexit, Michael Gove has admitted.
The Environment Secretary said farmers in “less favoured areas” will need support for “several years to come” when they lose their payments from the EU’s controversial Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) when Britain leaves.
