FACEBOOK follower have been gripped by scare after rumours about a secret hacker called Jayden K Metalworker spread throughout the social mesh.

Users are sharing a message which apprise that anyone who adds Mr Metalworker as a friend will have their explanation HACKED.

As far as we know, Mr Smith is not out to get you – and change if he did exist, simply making comrade with you is not enough to hack into your machine or Facebook profile.

“Please announce all the contacts in your Messenger dossier, not to accept Jayden K Smith fellowship request,” the message states, according to The Mirror.

“He is a hacker and has the manner connected to your Facebook report. If one of your contacts accepts it, you faculty also be hacked, so make confident that all your friends apprehend it.”

The hoax has been seen already, with scammers using antithetic names including “Christopher Davies” and “Jessica Davies, according to the reality-checking site Snopes.

It’s not whole clear what the point of the con is.

However, it is unlikely, though not impracticable, that hackers would be versed to target people using a Facebook substance.

Snopes wrote: “Alternative of these messages are circulated unceasingly, with different names swapped in and out as versatile pranksters decide to play laugh on people they know by inserting their knowledge’ names and addresses into the counsel in place of the existing information.

“Of method, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that an e-send message or a link posted on Facebook force carry a virus payload which could pollute your computer and allow it be contained by a botnet, but virus warnings that coincide to the patterns detailed above can be safely fired as japes.”

The Jayden K Smith put-on has prompted hundreds of people to advertise hilarious messages on the rival cultural network Twitter.
